Regular Papers

ICELIE 2026, the IEEE International Conference on E-Learning in Industrial Electronics, is the annual education conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society. The conference will be held October 18-21, 2026, in Doha, Qatar, co-located with IECON 2026.

ICELIE 2026 addresses current challenges in engineering education in terms of content development, didactics and technology. The conference emphasizes how education continues to evolve, the ongoing demand for online laboratory work, and the emerging challenge of integrating AI tools into teaching while maintaining professional oversight.

The organizing committee cordially invites high-quality papers representing original work, including but not limited to the following topics:

  • Educational Technologies: eLearning systems, virtual reality applications, intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning tools

  • Tools & Platforms: Remote laboratories, simulation/emulation systems, learning management systems, Web 3.0 applications

  • Assessment & Evaluation: Education effectiveness, cost models, e-Learning evaluation methodologies

  • Sustainability & Society: Curriculum development projects, corporate training, online mentoring

  • Standards Development: New educational standards and use cases

  • AI Applications: Artificial intelligence integration in education

  • Open Source: Education-related open-source projects and tools

Conference Venue

ICELIE 2026 will be held in Doha, Qatar, October 18-21, 2026, co-located with IECON 2026. Doha is a rapidly modernizing Gulf city, easily accessible through Hamad International Airport. Registration for IECON 2026 provides access to both IECON and ICELIE conferences and their combined proceedings.

Paper Submission

Prospective authors are invited to electronically submit regular papers of their work in English. Submit the full paper using the following layout. Limitation to 6 full pages, including paper title, authors and affiliations, figures and references (maximum size 2MB). Authors are requested to prepare the manuscripts in the IEEE two-column format template and to convert it to PDF. No other format in the submission and in the final version can be accepted. Accepted and presented papers will be published in an Electronic IEEE proceedings volume and will be included in IEEE Xplore on‐line digital library.

Manuscript Submission

All submissions must be uploaded through “IEEE IES Conferences Community System’s Paper Submission Website” following the schedule given in important dates. Each submission will be reviewed by three independent reviewers using a single blind peer review process, and will be screened for plagiarism and duplicate publication. The accepted papers are to be presented in the conference, and will be hosted on IEEE Xplore, subject to formatting and copyright requirements.
